DNA has 9 offices in 3 states. They provide general civil legal assistance to low income individuals living on or near the reservations they serve and low income individuals living in Coconino, Apache and Navajo Counties (Arizona) or San Juan County (New Mexico). Most clients must meet income and asset guidelines established by the Legal Services Corporation (LSC).

QUESTIONS

  • I would like to donate clothing for abused women but I am not aware the location to drop them off..
  • I requested 2 services for repairs going on 5 days now and the landlord has yet to complete them. Texting back and forth and on 3 occasions, the current one tonight, Maintenance Man was suppose to arrive to complete one of the repairs but never showed up.
  • I was adopted at the age of 13 from Russia. My adopted American parents were abusive. At the age of 18 I left home. I have been homeless living with friends as I finished my high school diploma. I spend more time studying than the average student as English is my second language. I work 8 hours a week at a clothing store. I just started caring for a 90 year old lady, more than 20 hours per week, in exchange for a place to study & sleep. DES says I need to work 20 hours a week to get food stamps. Would my caring of the 90 year old count as working even though I do not get paid?
  • I have received tax bill from the IRS for $630 plus charges of $284 from 2011 I have no money except my SS- $725 plus food stamps and cannot pay and I am just over a bout of throat cancer treatment and can not work or add to my income so find it impossible to pay the tax and the penalty can you point me to some one who can help me.
