They say no thats not enough, you have to pay more. Then when you tell them you cannot afford anything more. they threaten to garnish your wages. It has been quite sometime since they have sent me any corospondance in regard to this debt, and so I thought it had been written off due to the facit it is on my credit as a bad debt. Our landlord has not fixed out hot water or stove. It has been over a month and she has not fixed the items. I have text telling her they they were not working and she never sent anyone to fix it. She told me I have 30 days to move because there are too many problems. I am withholding my rent because it is not fixed. Can she evict me

The AC for my rental property went out (single family property) and I recieved a text message from the tenant that evening (no written notice of any sort). I could not find anyone to come out and fix it the next day. So tenant had no ac for one full day. They rented a hotel room for one night and deducted it plus food from the next monthly rent. My question is, under section 33-1364 the amount can not exceed 125% of periodic rent, what does "periodic rent" mean? Monthly rent amount or daily rent amount (monthly rent divided by 30 or 31 days)? Thank you so much

My landlord is evicting me because she says my son is valdalizing property in our complex. I believe this to be untrue and wish to dispute the eviction. How can I go about that? Also, does the landlord have to take me to court to seek eviction, if so I may then be able to state my case before a judge. Is this true? I have a witness to the charge of vandalism. Debra

We live in Louisiana and in the recent past I had three headaches that were really bad. The third one was so horrific I thought I was having a stroke. I found out that after our neighbors moved a major effort was made to rid the apartment of insects. I also found out that the exterminating company was rotating insecticides. My fear is that we were affected by what was used. Both my blood pressure and my sons went really high. I have highblood issues but my diastolic went much higher then usual. Do I have a right to know what was used in that apartment?
