I am on a month to month lease. On December 4th I gave notice to landlord that my last day in the property will be January 5th. They are stating I am violating the law and that my 30 day notice is not valid as I would have had to give it to then November 30th for December 31st move out date. Is this true?

We signed a year lease, Feb.2015. There was a note on our door, may 4th,2015 saying we haven't signed yet. We called the Apt. Mngr. and he looked it up on the computer and saw that we did sign a lease but the year was wrong on the lease. Instead of 2015-16 it said 2014-15 but it has our signatures and the right date of signing 2-28-15. Nobody caught that when we signed in Feb.He said to come in and resign.When we went yesterday to resign he said the rent also increased even though we were quoted the price in the lease in Feb. This seems unfair and wrong/illegal?Help appreciated.Thanks, Tom

I was assaulted by my 29yr old Daughter. I called 911 and told the officer I needed paramedics and wanted to press charges. neither happened. I was asked to leave for the night! I took many pictures of bumps, bruises etc. can I go back and press charges?

my mother recently passed aay. her real estate deed has a joint tenancy w/ rights of survivorship, naming my aunt. my mothers wishes were that the home be sold and proceds devided between my sister and myself..i have lived and cared for my mother for the past 4 years, paying taxes, utilities and so forth. can my aunt list the house for sale at such a high dollar amount, that will never even be considered by buyers? can she make me move ( I am disabled ) when I have nowhere, and not enough income to purchase another dwelling? she (aunt) has already removed all of my mothers personal belongings (clothing,jewelry, cash car I don't understand please advise me, I don't know what to do. thank you so very much

My husband is in the army and is stationed in S. Korea until March of 2012. We have a 3 year old daughter who lives with me. My husband informed me that he wants a divorce. He's going to see if he can get one started on the base where he's stationed. Can he do that? Also, should I file for legal separation now, or do I need to wait until he's back. He's very irresponsible with money and I'm afraid he will incur more debt before we're divorced.

My power was recently turned off my APS without any notice. This was a discrepancy in billing due to an error on their side. I had no idea there was even an issue. According to them I needed to make a deposit payment to a separate account that I was not aware of. The person who set up the account did not notify me of this and made an error inputting the deposit amount. My dog was in out house with no AC while we were working and it was 105 degrees outside. I was wondering if it is legal for them to turn off our power when it is over 100 degrees without any notice.

My ex wife and I have been divorced for 18 months and it involved two kids. Our divorce decree and final agreement is filed in Rogers County Oklahoma. I now live in Arizona and have since the separation in May of 05. This summer my son came to visit and he has been asking his mom if he could live here and she gave me written and verbal permission that he could and now he has been here for 3 months with the agreement that we would modify the final agreement and child support. He is enrolled in school and school activities and after school activities and is doing very well. She is now wanting him to come back to Oklahoma and I want to file documents to keep her from doing this........can I do it here in Arizona or does he have to be here for a certain amount of time?
