QUESTIONS

  • Is there a statute of limitations to collect past medical bills, orthodontic bills? Mother received receipts for all within 24 hours after child received care.
  • Do I have to give a trailer park a DMV power of attorney for them to put the title of a trailer I paid for in my name?
  • I was out on deployment when my vehicles safety inspection sticker expired and my truck got towed from my parking spot at home and was impounded. I never missed a payment and could not afford to pay the impound cost when i returned home from deployment and Navy Federal credit Union would do nothing to help me get my vehicle back. That was back in 2009 i believe, and Navy Federal Credit Union has been trying to collect the remaining $7000 on the loan from me which i do not have and have never had. i do not even have a job right now. What can be done about this? i feel cheated!
  • What to do about a person who was living in a rental and left but has now come back to the residence although the residence has been put up for sale or lease. Can these people be reported to police as the owner of the property is out of state and unaware of what is going on as the residence has been cleaned and painted prior to the original renter all of a sudden showing up again possibly not returning keys to landlord.
  • My ex-boyfriend has three different jobs. One of them is a firefighter job where he works at strait 36 hour shift so he’s free the majority of the week to work another full-time job. He also works another side job once a week. Because of him working 6, 10 hour plus shifts a week, amongst other issues with him I get little to no help with our infant daughter. This has drastically decreased the hours I can work and my income. He is telling me that legally he will only have to pay me child support from one of his jobs only and not all of them. Is this true?
  • I was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of my marriage. During that time I accrued some student loans. In our separation agreement we each agreed to pay half of that, and any other, debt. A lawyer I spoke with stated that I am eligible for alimony (we were married 9 years and I stayed home for 6 of them), but my spouse takes great exception to this. He believes that since I did not contribute, monetarily, I should not be entitled to alimony. What should my expectations be?
  • What if a landlord, (who after some research is not licensed or associated with management company, for which he claims) continues to ignore our pleas to fix the hazardous wiring, and flooring that is not disabled friendly? Also what if there are conflicting reports on a black mold inspection? We were told yes we do and the landlord refuses to clean the ducts because his report says no. I have been hospitalized 6 times, and when I have pneumonia, it gets worse each time, which caused me to have a O2 level go as low at 83 this last one. A high risk for retaliation, A fear of house safety.
