  • I have established a visitation agreement with my daughters paternal grandmother (father side) and we have only had one visitation on Oct 5th. The last two visits she knew about a month before they were supposed to happen and the times. Both times she made an excuse as to why she couldn't make it at the very last minute and they were silly excuses(job for first excuse and 2nd can't find the place but she was across the street??)I feel that she is violating the order, what can I do?
  • I have joint & several restitution,i have never paid into, i served prison time, they didn't. Now, it's going to go to an outside collection agency. I am in fear they'll try to take my husbands income by force. Can they do this? He is not involved at all.
  • Instead of sending rent directly to him, my landlord has had me mail my rent as deposits straight to his bank. I have been using automatic bill pay through my bank, so it's been a hands off process for all involved. He just hit me with a five day notice to pay or vacate, claiming he is owed $11,000+ since April of last year! Is there anything in the law that protects a tenant from a landlord claiming non-receipt of payment months later if my payments in fact were lost and cashed by a 3rd party as it seems to be in this case? Is there a time limit for a landlord to notify tenant of non paym
  • I would like to know the law regarding children visiting family members outside the state. i understand that a parent can't take a child out of state without the others permission, but can children go visit family members without the other parent standing in the way/ My ex prevented my children from visiting HIS family over the winter vacation, because he would not give consent and told everyone that they would be violating a court order if they went. is that true or can the children leave the state if they are not with a parent/
  • My girlfriend and I have a 9 month old son together. During an argument She recently threatened to take my son away from me and I would never see him again. She kicked me out of my apt which I pay for and pay the bills. What are my rights? and how do I go about custody if I leave our home?
  • My friends want to give me custody of their 2 year old son, since neither is stable enough at the moment. We all agree that if we can do this, that they should still be in his life as his parents. How would we be able to go about this? Would we be able to have joint custody between the parents and a non-parent?
  • I have been moved in my apt since 3/26/2020 and I haven't received my mailbox key as of today. I've been inquiring about it. My mailbox needs repairs to get a key and get my nail. My mail is being returned to sending because the office lady won't allow my mail to be left with the office people. So I'm not able to get my mail. They had maintenance fix mailboxes few weeks back but they never got to my and the office lady was unable to give me another date when maintenance plans on fixing mine. Am I obligated to pay rent since my mailbox is broken so I'm unable to receive any mail.
