I am the uncle / representative of a level 1 patient in a nursing home. He needs legal help in what may be a lawsuit against a medical facility. I just need to talk to someone to see if this may be necessary

I filed a small claims complaint against a former roommate of mine when after I decided to leave he only gave me some of my personal belongings back and kept other items that he knew were important to me. I won the case and received a judgment for the amount that I requested. However, in the complaint two of the items I did not place a dollar amount next to because I knew he was still in possession of them (two portraits drawn by my brother that are very dear to me) and I wanted them returned. He had indicated in his Answer that he was in fact in possession of those items but wanted to be reimbursed for framing them. The hearing officer indicated we would need to take up the matter in a different forum due to the fact that they were personal property that I wanted to have returned. After the judgment was ordered I prepared a letter to the defendant and requested that he return the portraits to me and deduct the cost of framing from the judgment and I would then give him a satisfaction of judgment and we would be finished with this matter. About two weeks later I received a check for the amount of the judgment and a letter stating that he no longer was in possession of the artwork (he did not state what in fact became of my portraits). I decided to have the artwork appraised as I had photographs of the artwork as well as other drawings my brother had done. I then prepared a demand letter, again in an effort to resolve the matter without going to court. He did not respond in the time in which I had requested - (20) days. My question is do I have the right to file a Complaint for Conversion of Personal Property requesting to be compensated for damages (the price for the artwork as well as punitive damages and costs incurred)? And, if so, can I still file in small claims court as long as the amount I am seeking does not exceed $2,500 exclusive of court costs?

My rent has increased each month...in the lease i signed back in Sept 2017, I'm responsible for utilities. There's no fixed flat rate stated only saids 50& based on occupants and 50% on unit size. Should my utility bill be the same each month then?? I believe some illegal activity is goimg on Amd i want to know my rignts.

My mom passed away september 2018 the trailer her and her husband owned a mobile hone in a 55t community where they rented the space. I found out that after mom died her husband walked away from the trailer and owed lot rent. I thought he was paying everything. I found out they had been taken to court. It is now almost a year later snd i want my moms trailer and all her personal things that were in there but the park has a lock on the trailer. What are my rights what do i do.

The ownership of the mobile home park is requiring that I pay to repair a sewage line attached to my mobile home that has deteriorated over the years due to no fault of my own. Is this legal, since I own only the mobile home and not the lot it sits on.

REASONS INCLUDE THE LACK OF INTREST MY DAUGHTER HAS IN HIM AND THE FACT THAT THE FATHER IS BIPOLAR AND FREQUENTLY IS UNSTABLE. PLEASE HELP!

My wife is permanatly disabled under social security disablity. Part of her disablitiy is problems with comprehension. Between her learning disablity and hearing impairment, she has a really hard time comunicating with doctors and insurance companies. She just can't comprehend these things. She wants me to be her Medical Power of Attorney so that she doesn't have to deal with insurance companies customer service. The only information I can find is related to seniors. Can you help us? Where to go.. who to see?

i have a friend who is now 17 and her grandma had guardian ship of her but had kicked her out of the house and she has been staying with me since. now they are trying to get her to go home but she doesn't feel safe there. how can i make it to where i take over guardian ship of her? or how can she get imancipated she just does not want to go back to that place
