  • My sister's house has had (2) attempted break-ins in the last 1.5wk. She's buying a security system but I wondered if her landlord should be responsible for this?
  • Both parents share 50/50 custody but one of the parents resides in a different state. The parent that lives in Arizona is awarded all Holiday Breaks, including spring and summer break and the other parent has the child for school year. Due to the COVID19 both parents do travel to/from set location agreed upon from the court. Now when its time for parent in AZ to exercise their parenting time, what can be done? Will the parenting time be voided due to one parent lives in another state? If the parent can't come with compromise, what should be done if Parent in AZ wants to exercise parenting time
  • My mother was served papers from the other Grandparent. I was never served since I don't live there anymore. The grandparent filed for grandparent rights and according to Family Court Case Information - Case History it says "DEFAULT/REGARDING PETITION FOR GRANDPARENT VISITATION". I was never served and just found out about it today. There were summons in May. What do I do now? I don't want it to go into default and her get what she wants.
  • My sole income is Social Security. I just received a civil summons from my old credit union for my credit card debit. Can they garnish my Social Security income? My Social Security is direct deposited into my bank account. I CAN NOT afford an attorney, just wanted to know my rights.

  • My step-son was arrested by Phoenix PD on 2 counts of agg. assalt w/deadly weapon. He was protecting his mother from a drunk neighbor who was about to beat his mother up at their front door. He had picked up his rifle and had it in his left hand when he open ed the door to get his mother inside their apartment and away from the drunk. My question is why was he even charged? As an ex-law enforcement officer I would see this a self-defense. The state is now wanting to give him up 25yrs per count. Is there any case histories that a ruling would apply this case to self-defense.
  • I HAVE A JUDGMENT AGAINST AN INDIVIDUAL AND I WANT TO GET AN ABSTRACT ISSUED TO RECORD AGAINST THE INDIVIDUALS PROPERTY IN ARIZONA. DO I NEED TO GET A SPECIAL ABSTRACT ISSUED OR CAN I USE THE CALIFORNIA ABSTRACT ISSUED?
  • My landlord turned off the heat to the entire apt complex a week ago, and stated that it can't be turned back on. It is reasonable to presume that without heat, the temperature inside the residing units will be comparable to outside. I tried to submit, in writing, a letter requesting that by purchasing an adequate heater to heat my unit during this time, I may apply the amount spent on the heater, with proof of receipt, to be deducted from my rent for the month of March, 2015. I cited 33-1324 and 33-1364 in the letter. The landlord denied the request. How enforceable is my principle?
