  • My ex would like to take our two children to CA during a school week. We have two conflicting documents. The Parenting Plan For: Joint Custody with Joint Custody Agreement states as follows: B. (Bold) SUMMER MONTHS OR SCHOOL BREAK LONGER THAN 4 DAYS: (Unbold) The weekday and weekend schedule described above will apply for all 12 calendar months EXCEPT: Each Parent is entitled to a one week period of vacation time with the children. Each parent shall provide the other with 60 days notice of their proposed dates for vacation. If there is a conflict of dates, Father's schedule shall have preference in odd years and Mother's schedule shall have preference in even years. I am assuming this means he can only take the children on vacation during summer months or school break longer than 4 days. .... and the Consent Decree of Dissolution of Non-Covenant Marriage With Minor Children states the following: Custody and Parenting Time ... h.Vacation. Each parent shall be entitled to one additional week of vacation with the children in each year. Each parent shall provide the other with 60 days notice of their proposed dates for vacation. If there is a conflict of dates, Father's schedule shall have preference in odd years and Mother's schedule shall have preference in even years. This document does not state anything about school. Which document prevails?

We had a parenting plan that reglected the long distance. r. In Aug 2014 he moved back to Az. So we started a visitation schedule of every other weekend and option of Wednesday overnights. My daughter was happy at first. But over the past 1 1/2 year she doesn't want to visit as much. He's very angry, and he is verbally and emotionally abusive. I need advice. How can I protect her and reduce his visits?
  • How can I request a paternity test for a child I have been ordered to pay support on? Unfortunately I did not seek legal counsel when I received the initial papers and wrote my response stating I did not believe I was the father. I did not pay the filing fee of $231 so they denied my statement. Where do I go from here? I live out of state.
  • My family’s abuser (We’ve had an order of protection since October) has repeatedly contacted my father, threatening to call CPS on me. Tonight I saw him spying in a live stream video from my business instagram—it was not an account I knew, but definitely him. My bank account was also hacked into and I’m positive it was a move meant to send a message, as he used to control my finances and I thought this was the only card he never knew about. The court said call the police, the police say he’s allowed to do this. I’m scared and don’t know where to turn. Domestic advocacy places aren’t responding
  • I am owed back child support and I am being told I have to pay an overpayment of food stamps back.  Can they take it from child support?
  • My landlord never made me sign any paper according to my understanding that wouldn’t allow me to have a motorcycle. But today when I brought one home he said he wouldn’t allow it on the property and that he would evict me. Is this legal?
