QUESTIONS

  • An employee has quit working for me and has equipment belonging to me. The employee has been paid through his last day worked but demands additional money before he will return my equipment. Is this legal?
  • I was considering a move from Texas to Show Low AZ. I put a $1000 deposit and paid $445 lot fee. When I returned home in TX. I realized that downsizing from a 2300sqft home to a 900sqft trailer was not doable for me at this time. After 2 days from signing the agreement, I gave my formal written notice that I had changed my mind. Now the owner will not refund my money. What can I do. $1400 dollars is quite an amount to keep for just because. I was told they could have shown the trailer 2 times during that time, however the unit was not even ready for someone to move in.
  • I am a convicted drug felon and am not eligible to receive food stamps. I have a child is she eligible. And if so how much its she eligible for. I am not currently employed.
  • I signed my lease when I was 17 years old and I turned 18 a month later. I signed with no co-signer and I was wondering if it is possible for me to void my lease because I initially signed when I was 17 but I'm 18 now.

  • I have lived in a residence in Arizona since 2007. The lease expired in 2009 and by agreement with the owner was allowed to live without a lease and rent free since then. The owner is now trying to get me to sign a new lease or "evict" me. I have continuously maintained the residence and spent money out of pocket for upkeep including major purchases such as replacing the a/c unit, removing trees damaged by storms, painting, etc. Also paid back taxes for a year when the house was close to tax sale. What are my rights?
  • I was unjustly terminated for calling the employee hotline and filing a complaint. Now they are trying to lie and say I quit. Unemployment found in my favor. Do I have a case and is there a lawyer in Tucson who will take my case and work with no money unless I win?

  • Is it possible to become a guardian for a 19-year-old in Arizona? And if so, under what circumstances? Thank you!
