QUESTIONS

  • I am the obligor. My child support payment has been reduced by $ 790 a month, retroactive to 4 months ago. How do I get back the money my ex-wife has been over-paid over the four month period ?
  • I live on an apartment complex that has individually owned units but one HOA that covers the entire complex. The pool has been out of use all summer (green and disgusting), despite numerous complaints. Today, I noticed a flyer from the Maricopa County Environmental Health Department that the pool was closed by the county because it is in violation of health codes. Is there some way I can get my rent reduced because of the lack of access to the pool? Considering I chose this location and agreed to the higher cost of living because there was a pool at the complex. Just curious about my rights.

  • I was convicted of Theft, A class 6 undesignated offense back in the mid 90's. I completed 3 years on probation. My probation officer put in a order of discharge from probation in the late 90's . He signed it and the Judge signed it. It was never checked on if it was a misdemeanor or a felony. I never recieved and paperwork that stated anything about it, just that I was released from probation. So what do I need to do to get this removed? If the paperwork was not completed correctly my the courts can I get it off my record? Thanks
  • My ex & I were together for 5 years, he signed acknowledgment of paternity when our daughter was born. We split up when she was 2 (she is 4 now), he has been paying child support for 5 months and was ordered to pay $17k arrears. He consented to step parent adoption before child support was ordered. The adoption will be final 6/1/11. Recently he started threatening to take me to court for paternity, can he?
  • I left my abusive husband almost 6 years ago and have been trying to get divorced but the lawyers and he are dragging their feet because I'm paying him support. I recently found out that he called our health insurance co (he's under my plan because we are still legally married) and changed the address listed, which was mine, to his. So now he knows where I live and I fear for my life. I have moved 3 times in the last 6 years and I thought I was safe. Do I have any legal recourse to have him arrested?
