  • I put a deposit down on a rental and upon getting the keyes for 12 hours, was allergic to the house-I. I never signed the lease. I informed the owner in writing that I could not live there, and never signed the lease. He is keeping my deposit and saying it is binding because I took the key. Can I get my deposit back if I never signed the lease? He sent me a counter offer to the lease asking for more rent and deposits, and it was never executed.
  • I have a daughter who turned 16 at the end of the Summer. I went to court over support modification and visitation. She did not want to spend this past summer with me and the judge conceded but said she will spend the future summers with me. I live out of state and my daughter said she wants to spend the summer next year with her friends in Arizona again. Can I emancipate her if she refuses to see me?

  • i was looking up a justice court criminal case on the Arizonas judicial branch website, which is related to a legal situation that that I am involved in at the present time. I noticed that in the disposition section of the case it states 'comp dismissed by cty atty'. The reason that I ask my question is I thought that only a judge can dismiss a case, in a justice court. I would appreciate it if someone could give me as much information concerning my question as possible.My question is can a county attorney dismiss a criminal case, which is in a local justice court?

  • The landlord says water is included in the rent. I have a two bed room and he has decided to increase the rent because I am getting a roommate to afford the initial increase he has already made. I have a two bed room apartment and have lived alone for a year, one of the bedrooms are empty and he wants to raise the rent stating that having two people living in a two bed room means more water use. Do I have any rights here? I was paying $600.00, he raised the rent to $750.00 because he is the NEW owner and says it is necessary. Now he says he will raise it again.
  • We have a 1 yr old and when we moved in last oct2015, there was cockroaches in the bathroom. We have cleaned spotlessly, and even bombed the place, yet they just keep coming. For a while, they had their own bug guy come in and treat our apartment once we moved in, but now they stopped. We canot get rid of them!!!! I'm so sick of them biting us, and my daughter somehow eating dead ones. What can we do?!?!? This is our main concern, as they don't do a great job anyways.
