My daughters father is in jail for a non child support related offense. His payments have been little to none for months and the last 3 weeks I have been getting a very small portion of his unemployment. It hasn't been adding up to what he is to pay each month. My question being- if a bond is posted does that automatically get put towards his unpaid child support? And if its not automatically shuffled toward it what are the options I have to make it so, if any?

My mom was diagnosed with dementia and she received a civil summons from a credit card company. Mom only receives social security and has a very small monthly pension which are put into her checking account. She also has a small IRA from her former 401k which she is having to use for daily care services. This will most likely be depleted soon. Given her current state, we are unsure about what to do. Can you provide some direction? I have read they can put a lien on her checking account. Thank you.

How do I change a custody agreement so that I now have full custody as my ex-husband is no longer fit to have full custody? I had issues with depression and alcohol so he has full custody now and I’m supposed to just have supervised visits but we are reconciling and live together with the kids. I have since turned myself around completely and am sober and managing my depression. He is unfortunately in a constant state of relapse currently and repeatedly being taken to a hospital or treatment facility. He is the one working and making money but I take care of the kids 24/7.

My husband & I are legal guardians to a non relative child age 15. We have had him since he was 7. Mother's location not known. Father never in picture. We would like to transfer guardianship to our son & his wife. How do we proceed with this? The child was a ward of the state and we do receive cash assistance, health benefits and free lunch at his school and would like that transferred to our son as well. We do not want to incur any legal costs. Thank you.
