  • My adult son, with whom I lived, used my credit/debit card for items which I did verbally give consent for while I was in an inpatient rehab facility for 6 months. However, he also used it for numerous things I did not give consent or have knowledge of which have totalled more than $20,000. How do I make him repay me? I am totally broke now
  • I moved into an apartment 4 years ago with carpet flooring. I have always been allergic to carpet. Now I want the complex to change the carpet to vinyl flooring planks. Are they required do to ADA and pay for it? They say if I want new flooring, I must pay for it.

The lease states that we are responsible for the entire amount due UNTIL the apt is rented. That amounts to $11,000! It is now in collections, so I called to see if the apt. has been rented yet. I was not told if it has been, but the mgr. said it does not matter because we are still responsible for ALL of the rent, since we did not pay it all when we moved out. . Can they charge us for rent on an apt that is being rented? If so--RIDICULOUS

  • I was told I had to pay a "holding deposit" of $600 & sign a lease for a property that I needed to rent but was unable to do a walk thru in because the existing tenants were still occupying the property. I was told I could cancel at any time prior to my move in date 8/5/13; I cancelled on 7/20/13 & am being told I will not get any of my deposit back. What can I do?
  • We are renting a home and found black mold in the kitchen cabinets and drywall. Informed the property management co. through email with pictures. They had us in a hotel the next day. Mitigation done, ripped out drywall and cabinets. Mold was out, but they never showed up to do repairs to kitchen. We reached out several times asking when work would be done. They don't respond. We turned in letter from child's dr that says we need to be released from our lease due to my daughters asthma. They are releasing us end of April. What rights do we have since we pay full rent and repairs not done??
