In Sept. of 2014 my boyfriend pushed me down the stairs in our house and was arrested. Six months later Jan. 16, 2015 he punched me several times in the face breaking my nose and causing me to get 7 stitches above my left eye. He choked me and then forced me to sit in a chair while he threatened me. He fled before HPD arrived and was arrested in March for felony battery and coercion. I did not testify and charges were dropped. On Feb. 8th, 2017 he was arrested for DV. Can the prior charges get brought back in the new case even if he wasn't convicted?

We just bought a home in Arizona. I am a 100% disabled veteran living in a hot box for the past 5 weeks.We had an inspection done before and everything was fine. We have been in the house for 5 weeks and have had a different air conditioning repair person here more than 5 times with a different reason each time. Now we have flooring from the kitchen, entry way, and laundry room that needs to be replaced because of water damage from the air conditioner. Do we have any recourse against the home inspector? I called her and she said she would refund the inspection fee, but it wasn't her responsibility for the repairs now. Every penny we have went to purchase this house and we bought a home warranty so we wouldn't have to worry about problems. The warranty company of course claiming pre-existing conditions for things, so we have to fight to get some of the costs covered with them. Is there any help for us?

I am a stepparent. My husband's ex indicated that I can not sign permission slips for the kids to attend school field trips. I checked with the district and they said I could as long as my husband agreed. I always send a copy of the permission slip to his ex (she has never provided the same courtesy to my husband). I want to do what is right and legal. May I continue to sign permissions slips and pay for field trips or must my husband sign these slips?

I have been victim of domestic violence for the past 15 years. I stayed with my husband for the sake of my son, my husband has been arrested any times and the police and CPS have been called by myself and my 14yr old son. I am going through a child paternity, custody, visitation, and child support case. I left arizona due to a domestic violence situation with my daughters father. I am in need of legal help and have tried yuma community legal services. He has paid for a really good lawyer which I have no money to afford one at all. He keeps doing things that I had no clue you could do and am terrified of losing my daughter to him because of this. He is not interested in the child for the right reasons. In May, I moved into a 12 unit complex in Scottsdale with a pool. The pool was green & the landlord told me it was being emptied, retiled, and filled & would be closed for a couple weeks. I am about to pay August's rent and the pool is still out of commission. It was emptied and two workers came one day to chip away the tiling. Nothing has been done since. What rights do I have as a tenant to start deduct rent or demanding repairs? The pool was a driving force in my renting & it's making a terrible for a terribly frustrating AZ summer.
