  • I am expecting a baby in the next couple of days. The father of my child doesn't want anything to do with the baby and he says if I put him on child support he will "disappear" and I'll never hear from him and will not get any child support. He is a CNA, can his license get suspended for failure to pay?? He also said he'll sign over his rights so he doesn't have to pay child support.
  • Summary: My landlord sent me a notice to vacate from the residence using a text message. Is a text message a legally binding notice to vacate? Full: I have been a tenant for 4 years at the residence. My lease expired July 13, 2018. We did not renew the lease this year, so I've been paying month-to-month. I got a new out of state job and scheduled the movers for July 13. She suddenly sent me a text message on May 30 to vacate by July 1. She did not give me notice that she was looking for a new tenant. I have never been late or delinquent on rent payment. What are my legal options?

Still waiting to hear back from Re/Max. What are my rights? Can I replace the water heater and deduct it off my rent payment?
  • I am having a child with a 16 year old (I was 17 when I found out I was pregnant) and I just turned 18 less than a month ago. He has been living with me for 3 to 4 months and his father has made him move to Apache junction with the new girlfriend of his. His father has child abuse charges on him and had his daughter taken away for this. We were wondering if he could move with me and my family. He loves it with us and with his father he gets verbal as well as mental abuse I want to know if there is anything I can do to get him out of there and keep him safe.
  • my husband and I are separated with 2 children. the oldest (almost 18 with a full time job) is living with him on the east coast. our youngest lives with me. we agreed to this arrangement. how do we go about a divorce with this living arrangement?
  • I had an unwritten deal with someone and he basically conned me out of $800. I sued him in Pima County small claims court. The court required that i name his spouse as a defendant as well. When the court date came, he had fled town and left his wife to deny everything in court for him. It turns out though he is not legally married to this woman, and that was made clear to the judge. Still, the judge dismissed my case with prejudice even though she was not his legal spouse and now i am out $800+. I even had a witness but he was late so unfortunately didn't get sworn in. What recourse do i have?
  • Curious as to what the time frame is for establishing residence & if I receive mail if I'd be considered a resident even though I'm not in the lease.

I have no assets. I live in an Assisted Living facility which I pay room and board of $1649 from SocSec and ALTCS benefits pay the balance. I am left with $109 per month for personal needs. Can the IRS levy 15% of my Soc Sec? How do I stop this levy?
