  • how long does a property management company have to accept or deny your application for occupancy? How do they have to respond if you are denied?
  • My lease is coming up for renewal at a complex that recently changed ownership. My neighbor is currently reviewing the new lease and trying to decide to stay or leave. The lease has an addendum saying that Tenants will be chaged CAM fees for ALL common area maintenance and repairs and all expenses to operate the property. They will determine the amount of each tenant's share by dividing the entire cost of CAMs divided by the number of units leased (not the number of units within the complex). They will not provide an estimate to "not to exceed amount". Can they do this? Big repairs comin
  • I worked here for a short time,they paid my rent. was let go mid month, end of month received eviction letter stating I owed half month plus up coming month. this after I contacted their boss. Paper received cert.mail , is not signed nor does it have dates or amounts on it. Is this all legal? or is this a case of Retaliation? I am a Veteran awaiting my Disability,i only work 16-18hrs a week at Walmart, not nearly enough to pay asap and they know this..   • I have a Health Care Advance Directive from another state. Some of my friends say it is valid, others no. I suspect it is really up to the local hospital/doctor whether to honor it.   • A set of keys was used to rob the residence three weeks ago *with me in the home*. I stayed locked in my room since I was unsure of what was happening. Went out, things strewn everywhere, my stereo system stolen, the mail key used to steal packages expected that day. Landlord still refuses to change the locks. First excuse was that it would infringe on the rights of the roommate suspected of handing out her keys (or even helping with the robbery in person). Is what my landlord doing landlord negligence? These people have a KEY to my HOME! Isn’t there some responsibility for tenant safety???
