QUESTIONS

  • I AM TRYING TO GET A DIVORCE....HOW LONG DOES THIS PROCESS TAKE?
  • In mid October I agreed to let a female army veteran stay in my camp trailer for two weeks. We have no contract and I didn't ask for rent but she said she would help out. I ran an electricic an cord to the trailer and told her to use a bathroom in the house. It's December 15th and she's still here. So far she's contributed $35 towards food and utilities and recieved mail. Twice she threatened to call the police because she has the right to shower and to use my electricity. I would like to know how to remove her by Christmas without a legal battle, what rights she actually has, mine also.
  • We gave a roommate 30-day verbal notice that his month-to-month lease was up. If he doesn't leave could his drinking binges (including driving on a suspended license, with no insurance), and belligerent, vaguely threatening but scary behavior be enough to get an immediate eviction started? He will go into the kitchen falling down drunk when everyone else is asleep, and I'm afraid he could start a fire, by accident or on purpose. Or would we have to give him written notice and start from square one? Thanks!
  • I signed a lease almost a month ago for an apartment that I have not been able to see. I keep emailing to see when one would be available, and they keep telling me that none are available. I've seen a lot of reviews for this complex noting that there is a huge roach infestation. I'm afraid that they are hiding this from me and that's why I haven't been able to be allowed in to see a model. I'm not scheduled to move for another 3 weeks. Can I back out of my lease?
  • what is the amount of income to be reported. Is it over 2000 in resources,a monthly amount or longer.this is for renewal.
  • My ex has filed a lien per our divorce, insane isn't it? Anyway, can she, the lawyers, take my house away from me? I'm a vet, 74yo, and having a hard time making ends meet.
  • We took my husband's sister in almost a year ago she had been in fostercare for 17 months in alabama. We didn't know what we were getting into she has become more than we can handle. She is ruining our family. How can we give her back to the state.?
  • When my daughter was born 8 yrs ago I was married to a man who is not her father. When we got divorced my attorney had him sign a "waiver of paternity" and I thought that would be all i needed to take his name off, however I'm having difficulty getting this donewithout an attorney. I was hoping someone might be able to get me on the right path
  • Does a restraining order stay on a defendant's record? If so, how long. The restraining order was for harassment. TA
  • My grandmother has late stage dementia, we recently moved her and provided a Doctors note to relieve her of her lease. I am POA. The apartment complex just sent a letter stating that there is urine on carpet ( my grandmothers) and they have to replace it and treat concrete. My Grandmother is on state assistance and has $110 left over after her assisted living expenses. They said they are giving me 30 days to pay in full or she is going to collections. From what I understand, she is considered judgement clear due to limited income. Can they come after me and send me to collections for this
