  • I have completed my probation and now have restitution to finish paying off. I live in az but my home and son are in tn where I was extradited from a year ago. I have a job and want to know since I finish my probation as of last week can I finish my payments from my home state in tn.
  • Landlord decease, will that terminate my lease contract & i will be evicted from the property?do i have any rights
  • My landlord mislead me about the pool having a black stain in the deepest part. The "stain" turned out to be black algae and it spread throughout the pool. I put the landlord on notice and he had the pool drained and treated two days later. However, when I asked him when the pool maintenance would resume, he went crazy and said he was going to evict me and charge me for all of his expenses in repairing the pool. He has threatened me repeatedly out of retaliation for complaining about the pool. Can I terminate the lease because of his repeated threats?
  • My ex's visitation is every other holiday break and half of the summer. He disappears for months at a time, last time being 4 months and he was in jail; he is also far behind on his support. He now wants to have them for the summer in TX. I have qualms about it because the last time he took them out of state, he didn't bring them home, I had to figure out a way to go get them. Additionally, the last time he had them here for their break, he had me pick them up after 6 days because he couldn't handle it. Can I legally deny him visitation out of state?
  • I got hurt in the job, ir required hospital stay and surgeries. My employer has been great they started my sick pay right away. A few weeks later workers comp sent me checks. Payroll was informed. How ever I still got pay from sick pay. I figured this was just part of the benefit of having sick pay. Ir wasn't a secret. But now they ate up set about double pay. Can they make us pay that back or lose my job over this?
  • I am an independent student at ASU and resident of Tempe, AZ. I have four months left on my residential lease. With the COVID-19 National Emergency announcement and ASU cancelling all on campus sessions, I would like to cancel my lease for the rest of the semester and move in with family. The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act makes no mention of National Emergencies and rights extended to tenants. My lease agreement also has no provisions, including none for Force Majeure.   • Currently paying a ridiculous amount of rent (~$1500 after utilities) for a an apartment home whose complex offers a community Pool as one of the amenities in the Lease. Recently, the Corporate office locked down all amenities completely despite the upcoming heat of the summer. It’s been 95+ degrees outside, and they refuse to open the pool even for a LIMITED pool hour for kids and seniors— is this legal? Does it break the lease? Can I withhold about $200 in rent since all amenities have been locked? Thanks in advance -concerned mama
