QUESTIONS

  • We began renting a place in Feb. It was advertised as having both a swamp cooler and A/C, which is one of the reasons we chose this particular place. When they came to set-up the swamp cooler it was discovered it needs to be replaced. But now they are telling us that they will not replace it because we have A/C. Are they required to fix it?
  • I am the petitioner of a protective order and the defendant has not been served yet. Our court date is next week. What is gonna happen? Will they dismiss it or continue it.

  • I have been seoerated from my husband for the last 8 week. He told me to take my two boy age 6 & 8 and move to my sisters in Nevada.   • I had a question in relation to access notices. A lot of landlords are currently only responding to emergency maintenance calls to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and limiting person to person contact right now. With that being said, if a landlord serves a tenant an access notice stating that they need to enter their dwelling for a pest control inspection, can that tenant deny entry if they have concerns of others being in the home at this time, or does the landlord still have full access rights as long as they provide notice 48 hours or more in advance?
