The landlord recently handed out notices to everyone that they owe tax on their January rent and the rent tax has increased 2%. There was no notification of the increase and they are also taxing the tax amount stated in the lease. Example: My rent is $550 + $10tax, I now owe $1.10 for January and $1.10 every month there after. I know the amounts are low but in principal. Can they do this and try an evicition over it?

My niece found out her parents are doing meth and left her home to live with her girlfriends grandmother but her parents forced her to go back home. My niece is 17, has a 3.86 GPA, a job and over 180 hours of volunteer work at the hospital. She has goals to become a photo journalist. She does not need to be in a "meth" environment. Not first time for parents. How can I get her out of that environment?

Re: an increase in monthly maintenance fees in a housing CO-OP (not apt, not condo). QUESTION: Is there a percentage maximum that the monthly fees may be raised? Our by-laws say it is 20% without resident/member/owner approval, but some owner-members say it is only 5% by AZ law. (That sounds like tenant/landlord law which shouldn't apply.) Thanks for the help.

The mother of my daughter lives with an abusive boyfriend and his 5 children. I currently have joint custody of my daughter and a split parenting plan. My daughter is being emotionally abused and has been required to see a therapist for physically hurting herself (she is only 8). The therapist told me I need to keep her out of that environment but I can't find any real information on emergency legal decision making and parenting time change in Pima county. The mother has threatened to move out of the country with my daughter if I try to take her back to court. What can I do??
