QUESTIONS

  • If the complex I live in says I am an unauthorized tenant even though I pay rent and get my mail here can they tell me I have to leave without a eviction notice do I have any rights?

  • We have lived here in an apt. type setting for 11 months. We are curious if we can break our lease based on several factors. One being that our dryer, which they supplied, has NEVER worked and shocks us (safety issue). We've complained on several occassions (including the month we moved in). Nothing has been done, and now we can't use our dryer. Or, the fact that there wasn't for at least 7 months, common area lights outside. Now there are....or the fact that my husband fell down in an area on the complex with no lights (outside apt. complex). HELP!
  • City did work at my mom & dads 10teaes ago and they broke their sewer line they repaired it and they have had problems ever cents this past month they had a plumber come out and dig it up and they charge them $5000 shouldn't the city still be obligated because they're the ones that broke the sewer line in the first place to get it repaired again or to replace line if they didn't do the gas project they wouldn't have this problem
  • My boyfriend and I rent a mobile home in Glendale AZ. The mobile home park has the electric in the parks name and we just pay the park for electricity. 3 days ago the main breaker blew and was smoking, this is not the first time the breaker box smoked, srp came out and said it was the parks responsibly to replace the box. An unlicensed electrician that lives in the park has yet to fix the problem. The owner knows of the problem and has done nothing. I just recently had a stroke and my boyfriend is a diabetic. His insulin needs refrigerated and has not so $3200 worth of insulin went bad.
  • My mom was diagnosed with dementia and she received a civil summons from a credit card company. Mom only receives social security and has a very small monthly pension which are put into her checking account. She also has a small IRA from her former 401k which she is having to use for daily care services. This will most likely be depleted soon. Given her current state, we are unsure about what to do. Can you provide some direction? I have read they can put a lien on her checking account. Thank you.

  • My wife is an adopted child, does that give my mother in law any rights? We currently have a 17 mo. old child together and are getting the finalization of a nasty divorce. The woman dislikes me and I feel she will negatively inflence my daughter.
  • I am actually writing this on behalf of my dad. My dad was an eletrician and a veteran. 10 to 14 yrs ago he wired a house, the house was inspected and he received a green tag on it. Just a few months ago the house caught on fire and the insurance is blaming my dad. The fire was do to a gas leak on an outside fireplace of some sort. My dad is hard of hearing, retired and is on a set income. Please help, he has no money for a lawyer and is to represent himself when he is summoned to. Can you help or direct us to someone who can?
