  • My husben passed away Aug. 21st. and hade a life insurance policy. It is in his daughters name. He was going to change it did not get a chance to. We have been married for less than a year. Do I have anyrights to this life insurance?

I am trying to determine if they are different for owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied residences in Az? The clogging from the septic has caused leaks and clogs in water pipes causing mold in walls and insulation under house ruined. A lic. Plumber informed me that the septic tank got broken when she installed it previous to my renting. It is also illegally placed too close to house. Also, my mother paid my rent in February and when I asked my landlord if she received this money she stated no. I called my mother to confirm she did go there then I called landlord back and told her I knew she was lying about it and she admitted that she had in fact lied about how much rent I actually owe her. What can I do about all of this?
  • We moved out 12 days before end of lease and had inspection we were present for and she said it looked great and posted a new rent sign. Just got our deposit back and the charged us $260 for cleaning which we had done and $530 for repairs they had done such as changing bulbs and cleaning the outside of the grill. Is this legal. Shouldn't we have been notified so we could have seen these things and possibly addressed them ourselves. We still had time left in the lease and they had traffic going through for showings. We left the house perfect.

  • How do I determine my wife's legal name? Prior to marriage and according to her birth certificate, her name was [first name] [mother's maiden surname] [father's surname]. After marriage and consistent with her cultural practice, she dropped her mother's maiden surname as a middle name and now uses [first name] [Father's surname] [husbands surname]. There is no indication of the name change on the marriage certificate. How do we know what is the proper name to use for driver's licenses, passports etc.?
