QUESTIONS

  • I am planning on moving at the end of April. I have resided here for almost 5 years. I am worried the apt manager is going to bill me for the carpet and paint. The carpet was old when I moved in. My question is "can they bill me for carpet replacement and paint after I have been here for almost 5 years"
  • I rent a condo from the owner. The landlord has sent 4 serviceman to fix my 23 year old ac unit that has been non stop leaking on 7/4( now 7/28). Each saying the ac simply needs to be replaced. I have numerous bowls out bc it leaks in different areas. The hallway is a hazard and unsightly . He has come to terms it needs replaced. What time frame am I entitled to have the replacement done timely ? Also is it my responsibility to meet the repairman if the landlord cannot accommodate my work schedule?
  • Is the landlord of the mobile home park legally supposed to tell all the tenants if there is construction going on that will mess with the water supply? Our landlord rarely if ever tells us when there is construction expected and our water will be shut off without prior notice. Isnt there a law against that or something?

We are very disappointed at our park owners for allowing an owner to treat the park as a place of business which is prohibited in the park lease.   • i gave birth when i was 16 and the biological father was 20. he signed the birth certificate and left. the child is now 3 years old and he has never had any contact with him or paid child support. im trying to get him to sign away his rights can he do that and what papers would i need to do that? if i cannot would he be able to sign his rights over to my bf who has been taking care of him since birth. if that is what i have to do what papers would i need for that? also my bf is only 18 is he old enough to take guardianship of my son?

He left me with a power of attorney and it is still valid. I want to know can I use the power of attorney to put him as the father on the birth certificate?
