  • I am trying to get a contact number for the clearinghouse. I am retired military my ex wife qualifies for 42.5% of my military pay. When we the divorce was final my lawyers had the spousal maintenance taken out of my military pay instead of my civilian pay that was corrected this month now they are taking money out of my civilian pay but no one sent anything to DFAS so they are still paying her 1000 dollars a month and they are also taking 1000 from my civilian pay the court order says tha I will pay 1000 dollars a month spousal maintenance and she gets 42.5 percent of my retirement not 2000

  • I never signed a lease when I moved in to my current home in Scottsdale. I did, however, give a 'last months' rent as a deposit. How much notice is required by law prior to move out, and am I able to recover the balance if I gave a notice on the 10th of the month, had already paid that month's rent in full, and would like to receive the full 'last month's rent deposit back?.
  • Our apartment has a black mold problem because of a slow leak in the wall. When out landlords insurance adjustor came to see the damage he informed us that the landlord was required to test the mold to find out if it was toxic. When we asked our landlord about testing he said he didn't have to test it just clean it up. Which is true? We would like them to test it so we know what we have been living in.
  • I was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of my marriage. During that time I accrued some student loans. In our separation agreement we each agreed to pay half of that, and any other, debt. A lawyer I spoke with stated that I am eligible for alimony (we were married 9 years and I stayed home for 6 of them), but my spouse takes great exception to this. He believes that since I did not contribute, monetarily, I should not be entitled to alimony. What should my expectations be?
  • I let a friend of mine live in my house rent free for about 7 months after she had a baby. I babysat and cared for the child while she worked and never charged her any money for childcare. After 7 months, she moved out but left most of her personal belongings in my house. It has now been 8 months since she left. How long does the law state that she has to come back and claim her belongings before her property is considered abandoned. And then do I legally take ownership of her property? I have also loaned her money which she has not paid back yet. Please advise. Thank you.
  • Just recently got married ,moved out of my rental because the wife has a lease on an apt until april 2016 the apt we live in has a washroom adjoined to it ,the plumbing has leaked twice into the bathroom and bedroom ruining the carpet and some personal belongings. this has happened twice. I complained directly to the property management and her response is "i am not authorized to notify or request repairs because I am not on the lease" my question is in Arizona can management companies ignore safety and health complaints due to a spouse not being on the lease.
  • We gave a roommate 30-day verbal notice that his month-to-month lease was up. If he doesn't leave could his drinking binges (including driving on a suspended license, with no insurance), and belligerent, vaguely threatening but scary behavior be enough to get an immediate eviction started? He will go into the kitchen falling down drunk when everyone else is asleep, and I'm afraid he could start a fire, by accident or on purpose. Or would we have to give him written notice and start from square one? Thanks!

  • I have a verbal lease until October and I pre-paid and it is June I was told yesterday to leave by July 1 which is not even a 30 day notice if she serves me an evection notice is there a free legal aid with attorneys representing me in court because I know she will have an attorney.
