  • I have paid my rent for the month and told roommate that I am moving out on the 4th. On the 10th she changed the locks. Can she legally lock me out for the rest of the month?
  • I just received a notice saying I have to vacate my house that it was auctioned but I'm paying my house and I'm never late and company who say they purchased have other name as home owner not mine and my husband what is going on what can I do my house wasn't foreclosed bank says everything okay in there side how do protect myself how is possible for it to be auctioned
  • I'm a victim of fraud, conversion, assault and battery, mental, verbal, financial, and elderly abuse. The defendant is sue able. What kind of lawyer would take a case like this? My case doesn't qualify for legal aide, because, it is an Intentional Tort. Is it possible to sue the abuser without an attorney? Hiring a lawyer is not an option, because, I can't afford it. My abuser put me out of business and destroyed all my property. Who gives free legal advice? Do any attorneys specialize in Narcsisstic Personality Disorders?

  • My father died in March & mother in June. We have found that dad had some life insurance through USPO with no beneficiary designated. They want to pay to my mom's estate but there is no estate. She had assets under $10,000 and no real property. I found the small estate affidavit. There are three surviving children, 1 deceased with 2 children. I assume we all need to fill out an affidavit? One of the grandchildren is still a minor. Who fills out his?

  • My lease ended and I moved from my apartment earlier than I originally anticipated. When planning my move I had submitted a request to forward my mail with an effective date of June 1st because I wasn't anticipating moving early but that's the way the movers worked out. I asked my old complex if they would allow me to get my mail from my box since I have turned in my keys to them already and they said no. I also asked if they would get the mail and just allow me to pick it up and they said no to that too. Are they allowed to withhold my access to my mail?
  • I was arrested when I told the officer that I hit my ex-boyfriend. He had thrown a blanket over me and grabbed me. I fought back out of fear. My roommate intervened and my ex left before the police arrived. My ex threatened me if I told the police anything that got him in trouble, so I didn't know what to tell them. I got arrested because I said I hit my ex. My ex gave no statement, hasn't been in contact with the prosecutor, and there isn't any evidence that I did anything but protect myself. My roommate was there and is a witness. Can I possibly be found guilty for protecting myself?

  • Moved into renovated home was to be done by 6/18 (day moved in). Upon arrival; 2 baseball size holes in 2 windows & piles of trash under carport. Due to incorrect measurements windows would be another week. Week1 dryer vent had to be re-cut, electrician rewired house due to fire hazard. Week2 plumbing unable to do laundry 2weeks now, family has to share 1 bathroom, windows not replaced. Week3 windows replaced 7/1–7/6, plumbing on hold to find better price (laundry?), & still sharing bathroom. Was given 1 months free rent but asking us to pay full electricity bill. What are her obligations?
