  • Can my landlord require me to have a drug test as part of a lease agreement?
  • I was convicted of a 2 felonies (non-dangerous and non-repetitive) about 19-20 years ago. I'd like to now change my name but am concerned this might be a hang up. The reason i wish to change my name is simple. I don't like it, never have. most people who know me call me by the name i wish to use (first name anyway). what should I anticipate as objections or concerns? By the way, have only had one traffic ticket in the past 20 years.
  • I have rented this house for 8 years now. I have been fighting with my landlord because they do not fix anything. My stove was falling apart and I had to buy a new one. The most important thing is the old a/c unit used to clog and leak. It caused water to leak into the linen closet inside front bathroom. The old repair guy came out and took pictures but never came back. The property manager came out and took pictures because there is mold in that bathroom,m. My landlord has not fixed it, I cannot afford to move because I am helping my daughter with nursing school. What can I do?
  • I want to be clear that I can attend school and still receive unemploment if I am attending classes online and still have time for full time work?
  • I JUST MOVED TO ARIZONA FROM CHICAGO AND I WAS TRYING TO SEE WHAT WILL I HAVE TO DO TO APPLY FOR FOODSTAMPS
  • WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP BILL COLLECTORS THAT MY EXHUSBAND OWES FROM BOTHERING ME AND TELLING ME I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS PAST MEDICAL BILS?
  • Does Arizona have any laws about the landlord calling/texting days before rent is due and EARLY morning of the day it is due according to the lease they have been doing this since moving in any info is appreciated thank u
  • My ex boss and I had a disagreement about a verification issue through email. She was very rude and disrespectful. The following morning my husband who is her current employee called me to tell me that she cc'd him in his email the conversation. Is this a privacy breech? Although, he is my husband, he is a current employee and I am not. This is second time this has happened. The first time with a different employee. Do I have any legal rights here?
  • I rent a room in my house with only a verbal contract, contract was month by month and only agreement was to pay rent within the first week of the month and to take care of her dogs. In approximate 5 months rent was never paid on time and dogs destroyed other individual property, owner refused responsibility for damage, I asked her to leave the house with a 3 weeks notice and she refused saying she will be out after Christmas. I have texts from her saying she will be late with the rent and witnesses about the damages her dogs caused. Please advise how should I proceed.
  • My best friend is having issues with her husband. He drinks every day to the point of total intoxication. He is verbally abusive and demeaning to her. He has pushed her, head butted her and told her that he “should beat her ass”. He has maxed out her credit cards and does everything he can to financially entrap her. They have 2 children 13 and 15. She is afraid to leave the kids with him because of his drinking and because he is not dependable. My friend wants to leave but due to the financial position he continues to put her in, she cannot afford to get out. Is this considered DV? Options?
