Question: How long after your final hearing, does it take to receive your divorce decree?
Answer: If one of the parties submits a form of order to the judge at the end of a default hearing, it is usually signed on the spot or shortly after the hearing. If it is a contested divorce and there is a trial before the judge, it may take longer. You may want to look on the court's website in the county where you live. The date of the decree should be listed there. If the decree is listed as signed, you can obtain a certified copy from the clerk of the court. Go to https://www.azcourts.gov/AZ-Courts/Superior-Court, find the county where you live, look under resources for case history and minute entries.
