Landlord and Tenant Rights and Responsibilities
questions & answers
Question: We are in a lease and the owner listed house for sale. Can they post pictures of our belongings on the sites they're advertising the house on? I feel violated and fear a break in.
Answer: If you have not yet done so, you may wish to send a signed and dated letter to the landlord requesting that the landlord advertise the house with photos – which the landlord presumably has from before you moved in – that do not include your personal belongings. If you would like specific advice about any particular legal rights you may have, there are links to organizations offering free or low-cost legal services on this website.
