I had my bank account garnished.I went to court and the garnishment was released. I'm self employed but I do get paid by a goverment agency. Can my wages be garnished? Does the collector have to go back to court to get another order?

I am separated but still married. My husband is not paying his credit card debt and an atty has threatened to garnish MY wages and forced me to pay on his debt. He sent a notice to my employer seeking verification info which totally embarassed me and jeopardized my integrity. I have been paying him because I am intimidated. Is this legal?

Being sued by debt buyer for bank if America cc debt, served in April 2014. Did not admit to debt in my filed answer. Set for arbitration next month, does delaware sol apply? Last pmt 7/2011.

We had a vehicle repossessed recently and there is an outstanding balance. What are the laws on garnishment? If we try to work with them and they won't accept what we can afford; do they have to accept any payment that we can afford to send them or do they have the right to garnish our paychecks? Thank you!
