  • By law How many days does a landlord have to hold your possession?
  • My husband apparently owes $40,000 to arrears. He has been garnished for two years now and the amount on the statements does not go down, is there something wrong with this? Plus even though he pays child support and arrears they just now put a hold on his bank account, can they do this?
  • We have a tenant who is operating a commercial business in a residential R5 area on our property. We do have liability insurance. It started out as a hobby, but it has gotten beyond that. Do we have any liability in this situation? What are our legal responsibilities? The property is actually in unincorporated Maricopa County.
  • When I moved in this house was filthy, there were nails and plastics all through the landscaping rocks and weeds everywhere. The house is maintained and looks better than when we moved in. How do I get my deposite and pet deposite back at the end of our lease? And the back door is broken and hard to get in and out of.

  • This is an odd question for Arizona, but in the summer my landlord keeps the thermostat locked when he is in town. He is a rather large man, and keeps the A/C at 69 during the summer. Myself and my roommate nearly have to wear winter garments to be comfortable. Not only is this a waste of electricity, but it is extremely uncomfortable for his tenants. Is there anything I can do about this? Legally.
