I live in an apartment complex near NAU. My roommate and I have lived here for about three months now and we have a dog (only 15 lbs), which is allowed by the apartment complex (up to 40 lbs). We found a stray kitten a few weeks back (only 6 lbs), and we would like to keep her. The lease that we signed says NOTHING about being limited to only one animal in the apartment, however they are telling us that that is what their policy is, even though there was no written agreement to that. Should I be able to get another pet in the apartment?

My mother, who lives in Wisconsin, has guardianship of her minor grandson. She has been his guardian for about 7 years (since the death of his father in 2007). The minor's biological mother is living, but her whereabouts has been unknown for the same time. My mother is currently receiving financial support from the state for the minor. My mother also has to re-apply each year to continue guardianship. My mother wants to relocate to Arizona with the minor. My question is: 1.can my mother leave the state of Wisconsin with the minor?

a friend if mine is incarcerated and wishes to give me parental rights over his 9 year old son who is now a ward of the state, after being sent letters asking him if he had a family or friend with which he would want the child placed but DCS never attempted to place the child with me as he asked. this has been going on almost a year. I once had guardianship of the child when he was 3 months old until he was alnoay a year, and have known the father since the biological mother, now deceased, was pregnant. They are like family to me. we have been trying to find out if he can give me parentals

City did work at my mom & dads 10teaes ago and they broke their sewer line they repaired it and they have had problems ever cents this past month they had a plumber come out and dig it up and they charge them $5000 shouldn't the city still be obligated because they're the ones that broke the sewer line in the first place to get it repaired again or to replace line if they didn't do the gas project they wouldn't have this problem

A neighbor verbally agreed to pay half of the cost to replace a shared section of backyard fence after it blew down from a storm. She said she couldn't pay at the time but would pay later, and never has. She will not answer her door or phone, so I sent a certified letter but no response. Other neighbors paid when job was complete. She owes me $378. I want to avoid small-claims court but can't find information about mediation. What are my options?

There is a huge tree between my trailer & next door. It was here when I bought trailer. I am told the tree is my responsible, but it is on the trailer courts land. The tree sheds leaves like crazy & we were just informed that it is up to us to rack and throw in trash. We have maintenance here & they do nothing, but ride the little cars the trailer court supplys.What I need to know is it my responsabilty, to rack. I am 64yrs.and not in that good health. Hi. I own my home and established a month to month lease agreement with additional terms (requiring a 30 day move-out notice etc) with acquaintance for our spare room. She did give a two week notice and planned on moving out on the first of the month. She ended up staying 4/5days into the next month were no rent was collected. At this time a few belonging were left behind. She had inquired to pick these items up under short notice once. It has been 6 months now and I was asked if we still had her items and wanted to pick them up. Is she still entitled to these items?

My father in law had a stroke in April of 2013 and has been unable to pay his credit card debts including a home equity line of credit through State Farm. He owns a home here here in Phx but has since been relocated to be with other family members in Napa, Ca. in a group home. He receives his usual SS benefits and a small pension of $120 per month, he is also getting his aid and attendance from the V.A. The problem is this, all of his benefits go to his care and he is unable to pay his credit card debts. Since he is no longer living here we are paying his house payment along with the State Farm home equity line of credit since that is like a second mortgage I believe. My question is how do we keep the house in the family and eliminate his credit card debt? which is probably around $20,000. The house doesn't have any equity in it or if it does, it's not much.
