  • We had a vehicle repossessed recently and there is an outstanding balance. What are the laws on garnishment? If we try to work with them and they won't accept what we can afford; do they have to accept any payment that we can afford to send them or do they have the right to garnish our paychecks? Thank you!

  • Can a landlord/Rental agent charge the tenant to complete AZ Form 201-Renter’s certificate of Properties Tax Paid. I rent through a Group, Inc. and was told that Inwould have to pay $50 for this form. I renew my lease on a yearly basis (this being my fourth year), and I just paid a $50 fee for their annual residency review. I found out about this form yesterday when having my taxes prepared by XXX. I never knew about it before, and XXXX has never offered it with each lease renewal.
  • In accordance to the Late Fee Fairness Amendment Act of 2016, am I able to pay only the amount due for rent to my apartment's property owner and ignore the late fees until a later time? I have been advised that I cannot be evicted for nonpayment of late fees. My lease agreement states there is no grace period for late fees after the 1st of the month, but isn't that illegal in the state of Arizona? Isn't there supposed to be a 5 day grace period?

  • I have a 4 year old, the father has been in prison for 4 yrs. His name isn't on the birth certificate, paternity has been established. went to court for child support. judge verdict; im financially responsible untill dads released.father was released dec 2012.we tried to work it out.I was the sole provider for him and my son financially.Father became physically abuse(towards me) had black outs, son was almost hit with a rock the last incident. no report filed , we moved states. dad is in prison till aug 27 2013(unrelated), what is best solution? full custody and restraining order??
  • I'm trying to assist seniors in a mobile park that are being abused by a park manager in one way or another. An 85 yr man got a 24 hr notice to move out due to his caregiver. The notice was hand written and delivered to him by managers husband. Another senior lady was sold a home that had no gas meter and now she cant use stove to cook and has no hot water for bathing. A 61 yr old man was chased down street by managers husband and assaulted. He did go to court and get a restraining order however the park turned around and got one on him which overturned his. Who can help these seniors. Help !
