QUESTIONS

  • My father passed away and now the bill collectors are contacting his ex wife who in turn is giving them my number. Can the bill collectors come after my four sisters or myself if there was no will or beneficiaries? Thank you.
  • My child's biological father lives in a different state. She is almost 3 years old now but we haven't seen him or heard from him since she was 4 months old. I did live in the same state as him but moved here for family since we had none after he left. How do I get sole custody of her? How much will it cost? Is there help I can get since we live on a budget?
  • My sister and her husband are divorcing and he will get custody of their two boys. He is active in the Military and currently overseas. He will be returning late September and they wish for my husband and I to care for them for a few months due to my sister moving out of state. I would like some form of legal documentation to be able to enroll them in school and seek medical care if needed. What is the quickest, easiest, and least court dependent way to do this? All parties are in agreement.
  • We are schedule to move out on 1/31/08. Landlord has offer to have a mock walk thru on 1/24 to let us know of anything she notices that would need fixing. We are then having the final walkthru on 1/31/08. She may not catch all items until after 2/1/08 when she is cleaning, etc. Is this true that she can go back after our final walkthru and find things without us being there and after the fact?
  • My Husband went to school for Welding and was promissed to be certified. When graduated didn't get any of his certifications, and now stuck with a loan payment. Not sure what kind of lawyer we need to help us with this case. I was told maybe civil rights?
  • is it illegal to make death threats
  • To qualify or FMLA must I work at the company AND have work at least 1250 hours in the last year? Or just one of the above and I qualify?
  • My baby's father has been in contempt of court "at least" 2 times. This last time the judge told him, "If you haven't made some kind of payment before the review hearing in 2 months...you will go to jail." Well he had not made any payments and the judge didn't do anything about it except give us another review hearing in 2 months. I don't understand why he is getting away with contempt of court and more than once. What can I do?
  • I have a Health Care Advance Directive from another state. Some of my friends say it is valid, others no. I suspect it is really up to the local hospital/doctor whether to honor it. Can you tell me if there is an AZ law that REQUIRES hospital/doctor to follow it? If so, can you tell me the law (statue??) that applies so I can refer to it if necessary? Thank you
  • I would like to know why it is that my income does not count towards my stepchildren when it comes to medical? My husband is currently not working due to he has hemodialysis 3 times a week so I am the primary wage earner in the home. Because my income does not count towards them we are over income for AHCCCS for me & my husband. We had AHCCCS but now don't qualify for TMA & his copays are expensive through my insurance from work.
