QUESTIONS

  • Can I charge a separate Appliance Deposit apart from the 1.5 Security Deposit. And,or could I require rent to be paid 2 months in advance?
  • My boyfriend and I have been together since mid 2005. He recently purchased a home in only his name. We are planning on getting married in april of next year. After marriage do I automatically become co- ownr? If we do not get married how long will it take for me to be considered co- owner without him actually havng to add my name to the title?

I just found out that they are going to charge 15 dollars a month for premium parking they do have a few handicap parking spaces but not many. Can I ask my landlord to give me disability parking near my apartment. She told me if there is no parking I have to park in the other lot which is far for me to walk with my oxygen tanks. Is there any laws to protect me. All she keeps saying is its open parking I live in a 55 senior apartment.

The apt. is claiming a 30 day vacancy notice but the lease is already up. i also had one roomate leave and another move in during the lease period. Now the landlord wants me to pay $800 in repairs/labor saying it was my fault due to not changing filters every month. I did change the filters every 60 days even though the filters I buy say they last up to 3 months. What's the right way to go about this situation?
