  • My daughter was raised by her deceased father for her 10 years he died and now the family has disowned her.they were involved until he died.there is a possibility that he is not the father but he didn't ever acknowledge that isn't there a law that allows him to be known as her father and her the aires to estate .she knows no diffrent
  • I have submitted notice on 7/28/17 that we would be non-renewing our lease and it would end, as stated in our lease, on 9/12/17. This provided excess of 30 days notice as required. They did not respond until today, 8/7/17. When we moved in, our rent for Sept '16 (9/13 - 9/30) was prorated. In our notice, I stated we would be paying the pro-rated amount of our rent due on 9/1 for the 12 days we will be occupying the apartment. The management let us know that our lease will end on 9/12, but we are responsible for the entire month of Sept. rent. I am unsure. I have communicated with them by e-mail because I wanted to document it.

  • My Park charged me a $5 per day late fee on unpaid late fees. Is this legal in Arizona? The park applies any payment made to the amount due, thus guaranteeing that any payment made that is less than the entire amount owed will be subject to late fees for the entire time additional money is owed. I believe there are laws preventing that practice for mortgages but I'm unsure about rentals or leases. Shouldn't payments first be applied toward the monthly rent or lease and then any additional payment be applied to late fees? And isn't it illegal to charge interest or fees on late fees?
  • My husband abandoned me knowing i had no means of paying any bills because I am disabled and currently waiting approval of my benefits. Due to my disability, i can not work and therefore i can not pay mrent. I have exhaustrd.all my resources. I am very behind on rent, but I have been making payments towards the past due rent whenever I was able to and these payments were accepted. Now my landlord wants to evict me. He knows i am disabled and waiting for benefits. I was told i couldn't be evicted if my disability was the reason I couldn't pay rent, which is my case. Is this true?
  • I am looking to purchase a mobile home on a rented lot. The mobile home has a shattered sliding glass door and the swamp cooler is not working. Are these things the landlord is required to have fixed before I purchase the home? I'm not really concerned about the swamp cooler as I own window units, but concerned about the door. The glass was completely shattered on the mobile side of door, presumably by previous tenant who was evicted.
  • My son asked to move his camper to my home. I adamantly told him NO. He knocked on my door 3 days ago and had moved it on my property while I was sleeping. He is not allowed on my property anyway due to his drug use. Now I have people in on out of his trailer buying dope. I don't know what to do to make him leave! Do I call the police or do I have to file an eviction notice on him? I am afraid of him as he has threatened both my life and to burn down my house if I didn't let him park it! I reported the threats to the police the week before when I told him no. Desperate

I am in the starts of paternity testing and said I agreed to go to mediation, she doesn't want to go to court. But I don't trust it not all being at least tracked through the courts.
