QUESTIONS

  • If someone has been claiming on tax forms another person who is cohabitating with them, who is responsible and for what?
  • Is it legal for a landlord to put into our lease a statement that says "If for any reason during the duration of this lease agreement the relationship between Lessor and Lessee is soured, Landlord reserves the right to serve a 30 day written notice to vacate." Isn't this unconscionable? And shouldn't any ability to break a contract be fair to both parties?

  • I am an independent student at ASU and resident of Tempe, AZ. I have four months left on my residential lease. With the COVID-19 National Emergency announcement and ASU cancelling all on campus sessions, I would like to cancel my lease for the rest of the semester and move in with family. The Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act makes no mention of National Emergencies and rights extended to tenants. My lease agreement also has no provisions, including none for Force Majeure.   • if both parents agree on everything and go through a civil divorce how long will i get the actual divorce papers? For example my wife and I are getting a divorce we actually agreed to me oaying a certain amount of child support which comes to about 400 to 500 for both of my kids a month. She is to keep the house and all the items there in. we have signed all the papers that we need to sign for now and tomorrow we will go and sign the rest of the paper work before the clerk. How long before I get the actual document that says we are legally divorced?
