  • My son's dad and I have joint legal and physical custody. The order has been in place since 2006 (my son was 5 years old at the time). He is now 14 and indicating that he wants to live with his dad. However, his dad doesn't have him the time allotted due to his work schedule. He's only able to take him to school two days per month. We live close to each other and to his school. The plan has worked well for the 10 1/2 years. I think he just doesn't like my rules. How will the courts look at this as far as allowing my son to decide.
  • I owe a credit union in Michigan $25,000 for Visa and $175,000 for second mortgage. They wrote the balances off 12/30/2010. I continued to make payments on the mortgage thru May-2012. I have not received any communications from the credit union since then. In June 2013 I received a letter from a collection agency that states that I owe $200,000 on the 2nd mortgage and $32,000 on the visa. What are my rights? What am I obligated to pay? Does Arizona have a law that creditors are not allowed to solicit more than what they paid for a debt? Your help would be greatly appreciated. SB

  • We have 5 months left on our lease. The homeowners informed us in Jan. 2014 that they will be selling the home. We have been very accommodating for private showings. Now they want to have a open house and asked us not be present along with our dogs. We said okay with the open house but we will be there. Now they are nit picking us , we have been there for three years with NO issues whatsoever. I heard they if they want to sell it as vacant they can "buy us out" of our lease and give us moving expenses as well. Is that true?
