QUESTIONS

  • I have been living in my apartment for 9 years. The first year, I signed a one year lease and paidnfirat and last months rent and a security deposit of $200. What are my rights when it comes to my security deposit, being a technically month to month renter? Also our landlord is selling the complex... what are my rights in that regard to the security deposit as well? Also, there are rumors it will be sold to an investor that may just tear the complex down... what would my right be in that regard to the security deposits? Is there anything I should know in general about my rights in this situati
  • I live in an HOA that has a file within my account called "owner file". This file contains personal information related to my history in the community such as violation notices, aplications for changes, etc. I would like to know which area, if any, of state law covers the maintenance of this file which seems to be an invasion of privacy.
  • I was convicted of felony theft on July 3 2000, in Yavapai county .At sentencing, the judge said to me. "After you complete probation, come back and see me, and we will take this off your record". I called the court after completing probation. To do what was told to me by the judge. The court of Yavapai told me, " I have no idea as to what it is that we can do for you". Your convicted, is a conviction of law, there's nothing to do for you. Last year I mailed a request to have a say in this matter. I was given a court date. I could not make this date 4/28 . I received a letter saying to bad.

  • My sister in law recently asked my husband (her brother) to adopt her baby, the baby is due in January. She is willing to sign over parental right. She has not been able to get in contact with the father of the baby since she informed him of the pregnancy. He told her he does not want anything to do with the baby. Do we have to his written consent to proceed with the adoption? Is there a legal way to contact him to get the form signed?
  • I am 16 years old, i am no longer living in my parent's home. And they don't want me back. I don't have a job or my license but I have several places I could go if I got emancipated and be supported until i got a job. Currently I've been moving around places so it hasn't been easy getting a job. But once I get emancipated and move to where I want to be I can. How can I convince the judge that I will be fine on my own?
