QUESTIONS

  • I applied for my service connected disability benefits in Aug of 2010, I received 70% sc Aug of 2012, but IU denied. Requested DRO, denied! see the travel board on July 23rd, asked for time frame, told I can expect her decision in 1-2 YEARS! I have tons of proof in my file that I'm unemployable. My questions are: 1)Do I have any recourse, or can she really make me wait for another year or 2? 2)I am currently on SSI (unemployable) incompetent for VA purposes (UE)eligible but not viable for VA Voc Rehab (UE)is there anything that can be done to require them to pay me benefits I deserve?

  • I am a homemaker and I found out my husband of 9 years cheated on me. When confronted he left and has not been back, . We do not own our house but he has abandoned me and everything else leaving me with no vehicle, no money, and also cleaned out our bank account. What are my legal rights and where can I get help when I have no money for one?
  • My father in law had a stroke in April of 2013 and has been unable to pay his credit card debts including a home equity line of credit through State Farm. He owns a home here here in Phx but has since been relocated to be with other family members in Napa, Ca. in a group home. He receives his usual SS benefits and a small pension of $120 per month, he is also getting his aid and attendance from the V.A. The problem is this, all of his benefits go to his care and he is unable to pay his credit card debts. Since he is no longer living here we are paying his house payment along with the State Farm home equity line of credit since that is like a second mortgage I believe. My question is how do we keep the house in the family and eliminate his credit card debt? which is probably around $20,000. The house doesn't have any equity in it or if it does, it's not much. Thank You

  • Our landlords sent us an email stating that we have to pay for professional cleaning or they will take $450 from our security deposit. From the research I have done, I understand that this is illegal and we are only obligated to deep clean it and leave it in the same condition as when we moved in. Do we have to professionally clean or not?
