  • Our apartment has a black mold problem because of a slow leak in the wall. When out landlords insurance adjustor came to see the damage he informed us that the landlord was required to test the mold to find out if it was toxic. When we asked our landlord about testing he said he didn't have to test it just clean it up. Which is true? We would like them to test it so we know what we have been living in.

  • I signed a year lease, and moved into these apartments on 12-14-2012. That lease ended 12-31-2013, but we wanted to stay in the complex, but in a downstairs unit. None were available then, so I signed what should have been a 3 month lease, but when I read it again, it shows the lease started on 4-1-2014, and terminates on 3-31-2015. We finally moved downstairs, and I signed a year lease on 5-19-2014, that terminates on 4-30-2015. My landlord is "renovating" and isn't renewing my lease. However, she has the terminating date as 3-31-2015, which was the old lease's date. What should I do?

I wish to sue for monetary damages if possible and to stop him from using my photo and name in these ads. The pediatrician cannot give me an addition an excuse for the care of my baby - unless the baby is sick. Legally, can my employer require me to return to work when my doctor says that I am able? How can I extend my leave to 12 weeks?
