QUESTIONS

  • Will my beneficiaries’ inheritance be taxed?
  • Is it the responsibility of the Property Management company or the tenet to bring a building up to code if the building was leased already not in code? My property management company rented me a commercial facility that was no where near up to code, five years ago. The company is now trying to force me to bring the building up to code(needs electrical, new roof, etc.) none of that was up to code when I rented it. It’s been five years of the building not being up to code, now that I’m in my last 4 months of my lease they’re pulling this. Just need advice.
  • 2nd shed was Grandfathered. Mobile is for sale so they say one shed must be removed. Can they change their mind because of sale?
  • My landlord is kicking us out of the house a month before our lease is up. During the time of our stay in this home, no repairs have been made after we notified them and the previous tennents possesions are still in the home. They have also refused to give us an copy of our original SIGNED lease and instead emailed us an changed copy that had our name typed out through a different person months later. Full access to the house was not given despite what was implied in the lease. They made unannounced visits and we have reasonable suspicion that they are leasing this home without a license.
  • I presently residing in a over 55 complex for the past three yrs. Never had to pay for rental insurance. Now, with the new lease coming, they are asking for payment on an insurance. My question is: Is this insurance a LAW? Do I have to pay a yearly insurance or montly? If there is no law, I do not/cannot afford to pay. As well as other seniors in the complex. We only live on a SS checks. Many do not have enough to their personal needs. I cannot pay for a lawyer either. I just need to know the LAW on the subject so that I know what to do.   • I am the manager of an RV park, I have several tenants who are past due on their rent and utilities. What action can I take to have them remove their trailer and vacate the park? They have been asked to vacate, but they do not. As far as I'm concerned they are trespassing. I also would like to lock the electricity because they have not paid their electric in months and I'm having to pay APS for their usage.
