  • My niece found out her parents are doing meth and left her home to live with her girlfriends grandmother but her parents forced her to go back home. My niece is 17, has a 3.86 GPA, a job and over 180 hours of volunteer work at the hospital. She has goals to become a photo journalist. She does not need to be in a "meth" environment. Not first time for parents. How can I get her out of that environment?
  • I just signed a one year lease For a small apartment, when I started to move things in and out of the apartment I noticed it smells like smoke so I tried to air it out but nothing is getting the smell of smoke out and it's really affecting my allergies, I cleaned the walls myself but it's still strong enough to affect me, I asked the landlord to have the apartment painted but he doesn't want to do that, is the landlord required to paint the apartment to get the smell of smoke off

The hospital has been very helpful, but are telling us that he may be transfered to a facility that we are not comfortable sending him to. What rights do we have when it comes to making sure that he goes to a facility we have investigated and approve of? We do not want him to go to a place that has terrible staff and facility reviews, and are looking out for his best interest.
  • I paid two weeks rent at a week to week rental property. (I have receipt) Lease is verbal and is based on a publicly posted advertisement. IIt was agreed that deposit and rest of monthly rent would be paid in cash in 13 days. I left a check to show good faith and landlord agreed to not cash check. I went to house the next day and was told I was evicted and landlord would not honor our agreement. I was not given any written notice. This has cost me hundreds of dollars in hotel room costs as well as otherother costs not anticipated. What should I do?
  • I just rented a new apartment and there has roaches infested in the unit. I notified the manager via text and he already spray the unit but there are still lots of live roaches roaming around the unit after 10 days.   • I have a credit card with the same bank where I have a Certificate of Deposit. My credit card payments are in default. I was using a credit counseling company to help me get out of debt and help me arrange a payment plan on the overdue credit card debt. The bank used my Certificate of Deposit to pay off the credit card debt without my permission. Is this legal?
