  • My landlord told me on the day i moved out (11/30/08) that she had fourteen days to finalize my deposit. it is now the 16th of december and when i called her she said that she had fourteen "working days" to finalize my deposit? after reviewing this website i find nothing about working days stated anywhere in the law and i was wondering what rights i have as a former tenant.
  • I sent a maintenance request to my property management to fix my broken AC on Sunday. It's now Thurs. They are waiting for the owner to respond to getting a brand new AC unit. Am I entitled to have my rent pro-rated for the time it was broke after advising them as a tenant? What amount of time do they have to fix the problem before I can legally act?
  • My father recently died ( he was 92 yrs) He lived in Iowa and was in a Nursing home.He was a US Veteran, I was the rep Payee for his checking account, his only daughter, and his VA fiduary, only one to make his funeral arrangements and pay the mortuary.   • I reside in NV, but need to modify an existing permanent guardianship order in Phoenix juvenile court. I have permanent guardianship now of my two year granddaughter, won through Judge Norris. The case was ICWA, and the paternal grandmother was awarded eleven weeks visitation, and has not used one day and called three times in two years. The childs father is being released from AZDOC in October and I am frightened that the paternal grandmother will suddenly want visitation. What can I do to modify the order to require transistional visits, supervised visitation? 
  • My hoa and I share a commom wall,the way I read the CC@R they are responsible for at least half the repair and 100% if by negligence. They have watered the wall instead of the landscaping and everywhere the water hit, the mortar has corrded. No that the wall is in need of repair they claim they are not responsible for the wall at all. What is the Arizona laws on common walls? and what recoarse do I have to get the wall repaired? There are at least 6 houses on my row that need repair.

  • I cohabitated with my domestic partner (DP) age 54 for 16 years.  To our friends and co-workers, we were a married couple.  Then, five years ago, my DP started a sexual relationship with a female co-worker, age 28.  The affair took on a whole new situation four years ago when she gave birth to a baby girl.  When teh baby was approximately six months old, I wanted to meet the child because my DP and I had remained together.  As it turned out, I fell in love with her as the months and years rolled by and, for the most part, my DP, the child, and I were a happy family on visiting days.  Nine weeks ago, he moved with her.  Can I ask for vistation in court?

  • As a tenant of a home there are several repairs that are needed on the home from the beginning all but two repairs re listed on the move-in-inspection report and submitted now after a 10 months still no repair what is my next step.
