QUESTIONS

  • Is a dept. collection company allowed to garnish my disability income
  • The apartment that I moved out of says I owe them money for a variety of things when I moved out. They charged me to paint it, but when I moved in the walls were already dirty with spills and stains. I have pictures to prove it when I moved in. Also, when I asked for a copy of what I am being charged for, the information was not accurate. It says they did all the cleaning and painting in the middle of the month, but I didn't move out until the last day of that month. Do I have an argument worth pursuing?
  • My daughter gandmother has one visit per month but i dont want to let her see her what happens if i jst dont take her anymore?
  • How many days do you have to vacate a property after an eviction judgment is granted to a landlord for non payment
  • I am considering remarriage. I am a widow & receive widows SS benefits. I also work full time, own my own home(mortgage on it) vehicle(no lien) savings. I just found out my fiancee(age 64) has not paid income taxes since the 1970's(Tea Party does not believe in paying) the IRS has seized his SS benefit. He has no savings & little income(electrician works for himself). Says he plans on filing a lawsuit against the IRS for his SS. How would this situation affect me if we were to marry? He can also take his union retirement anytime, would the IRS sieze this also? Can they lien any of my SS benefits and/or put lien on my house if we were to marry? I feel they could, he says no that if we did a prenuptial agreement, would be fine. I disagree, the IRS could care less about it. I am not going to marry him regardless but would like to be better informed. Thank you
  • how can i change last name to my dauther im not his blood father but i have her sends she was 1 year old
  • I own my mobile home but rent the lot. I almost got evicted last month because I was two months behind in rent. I paid in full. I am disabled and working for minimum wage at a job that only has part time hours and I am on food stamps. I was unable to pay my rent and I am still a month behind. I have been served to be evicted for the price of one months rent. Are they legally allowed to do this for being one month behind? I will be able to pay the rent on the 31st. A new company has taken over this low rent trailer park and harassing everyone. Can they fine us for weeds on property?
  • I have been living in my unit since July 2014. Now I did not have roaches before I moved in but once I moved in, I started seeing them here and there. I did notify my leasing office management about the issue and have had my unit sprayed 4 times. It seems that everytime I call them about this issue they just say oh ok will put you on the list and than hang up. Now I have 3 small children including a infant and the roaches are increasing. What can I do about this issue and if its not resolved, can I get out of my lease?
  • Does the 5 day notice need to be 5 days of 5 business days?
  • My mother is threatening to take my son from me under grandparents rights. Even though my 6 month old son is well taken care of and has no threat of abuse whatsoever, I do not wish for my mother to see him for personal reasons. She still threatens to take home from me. Is he in the legal right to do so?
