QUESTIONS

  • I was notified today that my property management company is no longer under contract with the owners due to a death of the main owner. What are my rights as far as if I just move out or how long do I have until locks are changed?
  • Do I have rights as a tenant even if I'm not on the lease but been living there for approximately three years can my girlfriend kick me out
  • About 2 months ago, I trusted my car to someone I thought was a friend because they claimed to need transportation to their job. I have not seen my car since and this person broke off all communication. I have no idea where either this person or my car are. The police will not help because I gave this person the keys. They say it's a civil matter and to file a suit. How can a suit be filed if the whereabouts of the person are unknown. I need to know what my options are and want this person held accountable for stealing my car.
  • My husband lives in Texas, I moved out of Texas over a year ago. We have no standing custody agreement for our 2 yr old daughter he is now locked up in Montana. I'm ready to file for divorce and sole custody but my sister in law says I broke the law by taking my daughter out of state with no custody agreement.   • Apartment complex is implementing "Valet trash" service where the trash will be collected at the apartment door. There will be a fee for this service. Can the Landlord force tenant to use this service and pay for it in addition to the trash collection service (there will be still dumpsters where tenants can take the trash)
  • I’m a college student and was renting a room in a 3 bedroom apartment during the semester. My lease ends June 30th, but with COVID, I was out of work and had to move back home. I haven’t been at the apartment since probably the middle of February. I turned my keys in and gave 60 days notice/ lease termination contract. I can’t file for hardship due to unemployment because my parents are guarantors. I understand I might have to finish paying my rent (leasing agreement) but is there anything I can do since I have not been there in over 4 months? I had to move back home (Flagstaff to Mesa)
