  • Does a lanlord have to supply window coverings?
  • I was in process of loan modification with my bank, and house was foreclosed on. I was notified after the foreclosure date, and now have been given Notice of Demand for Possession. What options are there to have 30 days to vacate and financial assistance to do that?
  • After a Judgement has been paid in full through a writ of garnishment can a creditor claim that there is still money owed to his client? In this case the amount in the judgement is less than what the client turned into the creditor plus a 40% collection fee. And after the judgement was paid in 2005 no further notification was received as to any extra amounts being due. I have just now received notice that I owe this outstanding blance plus 4 years of interest. This is still the original creditor from 2005.
  • My ex has an order of protection on me. I am also on probation because of our relationship issues. I have to report all her attempts to contact me to my p.o. She has sent many threats, msgs, and requests I contact her. I have filed a police report against her, and victim svcs has told her to stop, but she now uses my p.o.'s name in her msgs while advising me that there is nothing either vic svcs, my p.o., nor TPD can do beyond advising her not to contact me, but I will go to prison if I reply. How can I protect myself against her? I have reason to fear further action by her.
  • I'm asking this question for my son who is renting a studio apartment. The apartment is infested with roaches which are coming from an a joining unit and now mice. It is a very unhealthy place which the landlord has not fixed the problem. The other tenant has been evicted the the unit has not been emptied and the insects are taking over my sons place making it a health hazard. Any advice as to how to get the landlord to exterminate the apartment? Thank you.
  • My lease ended on a Sunday. I contacted landlord on Monday to set up walk-through. I was told I needed to return the keys prior to scheduling a walk-though. I returned the keys on Tues. Now Landlord is charging me 2 days additional rent for not returning the keys. Is he allowed to do this?
  • I own a condo which is part of an HOA, they recently redid our plumbing (common property) and had the water off making our unit uninhabitable and my family had to live in a hotel room for a week. This was an expense that we cannot afford. Should the HOA be responsible for paying our hotel stay since the repairs on common property,plumbing, made our unit uninhabitable?
  • I own my trailer but rent the space. The owner of the park passed away and we were left alone for a few months. Rent checks were returned and it was chaos. I received a certified letter saying I have not paid rent for 4 months, when I know I have. I have proof for 1 of those months, but cannot find the others. The office is open for 3 hours a day while I'm at work, so I stick it in the outside mailbox that is locked. Other tenants have received the same notice and said they also paid. Some tenants are also suing the park for abandonment. What can I do to prevent paying rent twice? Thank you
