  • I have been in the rental house in AZ for more than 5 years. Now that I am leaving the landlord say's they are charging me late fee from past rent over the last five years. Can they do this even thoe they never said or mention rent was late and there was not late fee asked for. But in the lease it does say there is a late fee if rent is late but has never told me rent was ever late or ever ask for late fee's before me giving my notice to leave
  • My ex husband and I have joint custody of our 2 year old son. Our son is showing some sensory and possible speech problems. I invited AZIEP out to do an initial sreening and invited him as well. He thinks it's stupid and doesn't want him to be evaluated and would not give consent for an OT evaluation the screener suggested and I gave consent. He also says he won't give consent for any kind of preschool. Professionals are seeing problems and are suggesting evaluations. Can I still get him evaluated without his consent? If not what is my recourse to help my son get what he needs?
  • my son was sentenced to 6 years for his second DUI . When the Judge sentenced him she read off someone else priors who has the same name as him different D.O.B . He has been in the State prison Since March 3, 2016. What can be done or how can we get this cleared up. His atterny did nothing about it and when I contacted him he told me the he was no longer his representative. I did stand up in court to say something but was advised to have a seat or leave.
  • I was evicted from my home that I own. Not the land. Was evicted because they said I had a unauthorized roommate and when I asked her to leave she called the police on me and said I pushed her. Both where lies. I haven't even been convicted of the crime. Now they say I can't sell my home unless I pay for lot fees that I owe them after the eviction. They refuse to take my money but then say I still have to pay lot fees. Can I sell my home and not pay these fees. She is telling buyers she can refuse to let them move in if I don't pay for the months I was not even living there.
  • I got divorced about a year ago now and my ex got me for child support since she was paying the insurance for the kids. We have 4 kids together but only 1 of them qualified for support. Now a year later I have tried to contact my kids and see them and help as much as I can as well as I even put all 4 of my kids under my insurance. Now I am expecting a new baby within the month and none of my kids want to talk or see me. I still pay their insurance and try to talk with them. I need information on Child Support.

  • I was involved in an accident last year where the at-fault driver was uninsured. After receiving care my health insurance was billed and no liens were put on my auto insurance. I have since settled with auto insurance, but this week I received a collection notice from an attorney saying I owe the provider an amount above the agreed upon rate from my health insurance. When talking to the provider they said AZ law allows them to collect the remaining balance from me with personal injury. Can they hold me liable for the balance above the rate my health insurance has after they have billed them?
  • How do I determine my wife's legal name? Prior to marriage and according to her birth certificate, her name was [first name] [mother's maiden surname] [father's surname]. After marriage and consistent with her cultural practice, she dropped her mother's maiden surname as a middle name and now uses [first name] [Father's surname] [husbands surname]. There is no indication of the name change on the marriage certificate. How do we know what is the proper name to use for driver's licenses, passports etc.?
  • Can you get child support if you are the legal guardian not a parent? I am taking care of two children that I have guardianship of. The parents live together and are not providing any assistance.
