  • I recently received 2 notices, one from my HOA and one from an attoney's office saying that I have ignored a violation notice. I never received a any notice prior to the these notices and now that are telling me I own them $500 for notice and attorney fees. How is this fair? And what can I do?

  • I am contacting you on behalf of a close friend. She is disabled and had two children one of which are disabled. She has a USDA loan on her home.(Nov.21st 2010) She made all of her payments on the first of the month when her disability check was deposited. Then in October of 2014 she called to make her payment and they would not accept it. Instead they told her that her home was in foreclosure. She has since tried every month to make her payment but they will not take it. I would greatly appreciate any help or advise. Thank you.
  • I live in a condo complex. One of the other owners has been storing property in a storage bin which is not her own. She appropriated it when it went into foreclosure. The current owner wants that storage bin. What can we do? The lock is still on and the woman (a lawyer, by the way) refuses to remove it.
  • I have a court date for shoplifting 34 dollars from a Safeway and have no use what to expect. I have no priors, and this was just a lapse in judgment, even a mistake. Can I ask for a divergent program myself in order not to have this go on my record, or do I have to give a plea? I'm embarrassed, ashamed, nervous and scared. I cannot afford an attorney since I have been living pay check to pay check trying to pay off a $3000 title, but I do not qualify for a court appointed attorney ( bc state not seeking jail time) and do not qualify for any of the reduced/free legal aid programs on this site since without deducting bills I make about $2000 a month. Please help, as I do not want to defend myself at trial for criminal matters alone. It seems so unfair and unjust.

  • how many months do one has to wait to reapply for ALTCS, if you have been denied and you are now in Hospice, awaiting salvation. Also, does the Nursing Home Care Reform Act of 1987 is still effective and can a skilled nursing facility force a relative or family member to take you in if all your Medicaid/Medicare benefit days have been exhausted and the facility corporate office has threaten to issue a 30 day notice to evict?
