Parental Rights & Obligations
questions & answers
Question: My wife recently seperated with our unborn child, and i have to get an essesment done before i can be at the birth of our child, which is very soon, If i am not there or even if i am, what rights does she have to name our our child
Answer: This is something that you would need to discuss with the baby’s mother. There are no statutory rulings on this subject. It would be best to discuss this with her in order to avoid potentially costly court fees which can come from attempting to change the name of the child after the fact.
