Question: I am a senior citizen and a 100% disabled veteran that needs assistance with a fraudulent agent that coerced me into losing over a $100,000 and need assistance in securing an attorney
Answer: Your question states that you need help in finding an attorney. If you cannot afford to go out and hire an attorney on your own, here are several affordable options. You can contact Arizona Senior Citizens Law Project. The telephone number is (602) 252-6710. Someone at the Law Project will interview you, and if your case qualifies, refer you to an attorney to advise you an possibly represent you. There are 3 programs in Arizona that you can use to get some inexpensive legal advice and guidance. One is the Modest Means Program. For a $75.00 fee, the Modest Means Program will arrange a one hour consult with an experienced attorney. The telephone number is (866) 637-5341. Both the Maricopa County Bar Association and the Pima County Bar Association have lawyer referral services that offer a 30 minute consult with an experienced attorney. Maricopa County's Lawyer Referral Service offers a 30 minute consultation for a fee of $40.00. The telephone number is (602) 257-4434. Pima County's Lawyer Referral Service offers a 30 minute consultation for a fee of $35.00. The telephone number is (520) 623-4625. Since you are a veteran you may also want to try the Arizona Military Assistance Project which can also be reached at (866) 637-5341.
